While
attending Cheshire Academy,
Armand worked within the
Residential Home Building, Real
Estate and Property
Management Business. When his
schooling was completed he worked
full time as a carpenter and job
superintendent. D'Amico expanded
his family's business to include
renovation of Residential and
Commercial Property. After
gaining invaluable hands-on
experience he founded his own
construction company, which
provided services in all phases
of residential and Commercial
Construction Projects.In 1973
D'Amico secured a position
with a large development and
property management firm, which
specialized in a wide range of
residential and commercial
inspections. After starting as a
construction Job Superintendent,
he was promoted to Project
Manager, then to Vice President
of Construction. He was offered
the opportunity to become
President and Chief Operating
Officer of the sister property
management firm, which he
accepted. His responsibilities
included management of over 100
employees, 3000 government
subsidized apartments and
commercial developments in excess
of 500,000 sq. ft.
During this period he
developed technical skills from
practical experience, education
and training seminars in the area
of building inspections which,
coupled with his construction
background, provided a vehicle
for a future in the Building
Inspection and Investigation
field. At this point he decided
this was the area that he enjoyed
and founded his own company,
CCHIS, Inc., (d.b.a. Central
Connecticut Home Inspection)
which provides building and
construction inspections to
buyers and owners of real
property. Because of Armand
D'Amico's extensive knowledge,
experience, and expertise CCHIS,
Inc. is Connecticut's preferred
home inspection company and construction
advisor.
